Baby S's DC Baptism
I got to spend a great morning with a great family during baby’s baptism and celebration. As someone with around twenty four first cousins… on one side, I always find it funny when my clients apologize to me about dealing with their large family. (Handling families is nothing new to me!) It’s so much fun to be a part of someone’s family for the day and watch as everyone comes together to celebrate a big life event.
This little lady was SUCH a trooper through the long morning. I got to come early for some “getting ready shots” in the apartment, where we had lovely window light. Even when she was being baptized, she only cried a few tears and then just looked at the priest like, “Hey, why’d you do that? I thought you were nice!” (For the record, he was very nice and they became buddies once he had finished baptizing her.) It was a beautiful ceremony at the church and after, lunch at Unconventional Diner, which was a darling restaurant with more gorgeous window light!
